Partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide, referred to as PHPA. PHPA is a derivative of polyacrylamide. It introduces some carbonyl amide functional groups into the molecular structure of polyacrylamide, and undergoes partial hydrolysis treatment, so that some of the amide functional groups on the polyacrylamide molecular chain are replaced by hydroxyl groups.

Partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide has ionic properties within a certain range and is commonly used in various industrial applications and fields.

For example, PHPA is used as a drilling fluid additive, which can improve the viscosity, dispersion and cementing properties of the drilling fluid and improve drilling efficiency.

It can also be used as a suspending agent to help aggregate and settle suspended matter in water treatment and sewage treatment, thereby achieving water purification and solid-liquid separation.
